There is a particular kind of light along the Cornish coast — not dramatic, not wild, but soft and shifting. The kind that turns the sea to glass and blurs the line between water and sky.
The Morvoren Sisters were born from that light.
Named for the Cornish word ‘morvoren’ — mermaid — these socks are companions rather than twins. Like sisters shaped by the same tide, they share a story but express it differently. The colour work is mirrored from one sock to the other: not identical, but beautifully related.
Worked in two gentle shades of aqua — one deeper, one pale as sea foam — the contrast is quiet. It asks you to look closely. To notice the movement. To slow down. Or, if you prefer other colourways together, they are great for blending tonal sock yarns.
The heel flap and gusset allow the pattern to flow uninterrupted around the leg and foot, preserving the design's calm rhythm.
