Fancy getting away and doing something that is just for you? Want to spend all day knitting, chatting and eating in the company of friends old and new?

Then we are excited to offer you the opportunity to join one of our knitting retreat here in our beautiful seaside home town of Falmouth.

What's Included

When was the last time you did something just for yourself? It's probably longer ago than you think.

Our retreat will be the perfect place to come to escape and restore your equillibrium, to relax, sit and knit or crochet, eating great food together with other people who want to do just that. And you will have the stunning coastline and bustling town on your doorstep if you want some bracing fresh air, or want to brave a winter swim. This retreat is located in one of the most scenic places along the Cornish Coast and is for 4 or 7 nights all inclusive.

Tuition

There will be expert knitters and crocheters on hand to help you with your projects, and if they don't know the answer (they will), someone in the group will jump in to help or share their experience.

On our 7 day retreats we will work on a specific project or technique over the week with expert instruction.

Knitting and Chatting

You will be in for a wonderful few days dedicated to you and your yarnie project.

You can also visit the shop to stock up on supplies

Food

We will provide plenty of options for a self-service breakfast, all sourced locally.

You will get a home-cooked light lunch and evening meal as well as plenty of nibbles and cake! There will also be an Afternoon Tea at Greenbank Hotel included in your stay.

We will curate a special goodie bag for your retreat, including a pattern, yarn, and a project to work on together.

Bosveal Retreat

With views straight down to the gentle Cornish coast and pine tree woodlands of the Helford River, Bosveal is the perfect place for a week of bliss. It occupies the main, central part of Bosloe House, a striking Arts and Crafts style manor, and is brimming with luxury décor and period features. Wood panelled walls, a grand dining room and two log-burning stoves add to its charm, while its six bedrooms make it the perfect get-together for a knitting retreat.

You’ll be a few minutes stroll from the small and south-facing beach at Durgan, a mixture of pebbles, rockpools and sand; the gentle waters make it perfect for canoeing or kayaking.

Further afield, the pretty harbour town of Falmouth is just a 20 minutes’ drive. Or if you prefer to walk, take the 9.9 mile trail from Helford to Falmouth along the South West Coast Path. Enjoy exploring this historic town with its range of quaint shops, cafés and traditional fisherman’s inns.

The accommodation is a beautiful luxury Cornish property right on the edge of the beach with loads of natural light. It has an open plan layout with the stylish lounge as the epicentre of the property with beautiful furnishings throughout.

The property has an open plan, fully equipped kitchen and dining area with seating for 8 people. Outside there is a beautful balcony overlooking the sea and parking is available nearby.

There are 4 large bedrooms - 2 of which have ensuite facilities and there is one family bathroom.

Please note that the property is on several levels so you will need to be able to navigate stairs.

An Idea of the Itinerary for your retreat...

1 / Arrival after 4pm

Arrival and a welcome drink and evening meal with time to get settled and start your project

2 / Mornings

You can work on your own project work with expert help OR we have a planned tutor led workshop everyday from 1030 - 1230 with a couple of exciting project options to work on. Its up to you!

3 / Afternoons

Free time to either work on your project or have a wander on the beach or into the town

Evening Meal will be at 1900

4 / Tuition

Tuition from Jane and guest tutors throughout your retreat. We will also join in on the Stitches and Cream weekly Stitchers Meet Ups to meet some of our local knitters.
