PRICE: £60 – pattern included DATE and TIME: Sat 9th November 2024. 11am - 3pm with a short break for lunch LOCATION: Stitches & Cream, Falmouth, Cornwall SESSIONS: 1 LEVEL: Confident beginner MAX CLASS SIZE: 6 TELL ME MORE Colourwork can feel quite daunting for someone who hasn't given it a go before. This workshop will get you started on your colourwork adventure and will help you to master the techniques needed for simple colourwork which you will put into use immediately by creating a beautiful pair of fingerless mittens. COURSE OUTLINE • Learn how to hold different colours • Techniques for knitting colourwork - tension and carrying floats • How to choose your colour palette and then finish your work WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? • A mitten pattern We can also provide yarn and needle kits at an additional cost WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? 4 x DK yarns for your colourwork project ( approx. 50g of each colour of DK weight yarn) and 4mm and 4.5mm circular needles for knitting in the round WHO IS THIS CLASS SUITABLE FOR? This class is for a confident beginner who can knit and purl, or someone who wants a refresh after a long break from the craft. ABOUT YOUR TEACHER Jane has been knitting for many years having learned from her mother and grandmother as a child. She knits and crochets all the time and is a very experienced yarnie enthusiast.
